Life since whenever

wow it's been a while since i've posted anything here. i was so bored last night that i was doing hw D: and i woke up relatively early this morning, with a complete lack of fun things to do (2 of my dramas ended, and i'm caught up with everything at this point ㅠㅠ). so naturally, i stole someone's blogger template from the internet and edited the css in a few places that i thought needed improvement (i left the part that gives him credit so w/e ㄴ_ㄴ).

so anyway, happenings with life uh... not much. classes are really boring, except for the one class where i learn some really interesting stuff. except that same class happens to be the one that threatens to ravage my beautiful gpa ;; the class is international business law, btw. the prof is an attorney by profession; he just wants to watch kids suffer at his mercy every wednesday night from 6:30 to 9:30. he kinda reminds me of mr t, except white and plays a lot of sports; and i mean a lot. i completely failed the midterm, but my hope is that he's the type of guy that just gives everyone an A in the end :<.

so we make a lot of fun of business majors here (wanna hear a joke? tepper. ㅋㅋㅋ ask if you're confused), but ironically, the two tepper classes i'm taking are the two classes where i may fail to get an A this semester -_-. and by we i mean myself and my unnamed accomplice, who has an unsafe obsession with cats, sexism and racism (a recent example: if a tree falls on a woman, what's a forest doing in the kitchen???).

recently i've been trying to cut down the ramen intake after reading articles that claim msg is connected to certain cancers and other unhealthy things, like memory loss, especially alzheimer's disease. also been trying to cut down the amount of dota i play. dota is kinda like a black hole of time. all of a sudden you realize it's 2 am and you've been procrastinating on a stats pset that you thought would take 30 minutes, but in reality takes 2 hours. thank god for the engineering & science library, conveniently situated in the same building as my 10:30 frosh english class! i eat lunch from 11:30 to 12:30, and then i fall asleep to the sound of pencil scratching and turning of pages (and voices of a lot of korean girls~) in the library. they have the most comfortable armchairs that i've ever slept in, and as an added bonus they give you tables to put your legs up on (they're basically there exclusively for your legs to be put up on - they're covered with dirt from peoples' shoes and are rarely wiped down,  if at all).

i'm also looking into purchasing a dslr soon, preferably like right after school's over so i can play with it over the summer. do want a nikon d40, but it's only available as a refurb; at least it's a nikon factory refurb with a nikon warranty. the d90 is too expensive and the d5000's lcd is just too stupid.

also reading up on food recipes and what i can cook easily at school next year. i'm definitely getting a really really small meal plan, if one at all. speaking of next year, our room is pretty ideal given that our lottery number was ~600/1000. we have a triple with a private bathroom and hardwood floors, southeast facing windows, readily accessible kitchens both on the floor and and right below, and on the second floor so we can open windows without stalkers looking in, while at the same time able to walk up the stairs instead of taking the elevator all the time. i'm really looking forward to it. the only bad part is that i won't be in my room much, given how my schedule looks so far: F10schedule. Yup, taking 4 ece classes (+1 seminar) and an 8:30 business class. delicious.

SUMMER! CANNOT WAIT FOR THE SUMMER. exactly 5 weeks left of this hellhole. 4 weeks of class and a week of finals (i have finals on may 3 and may 6/7 i forget). after that i'm home free~. and then we have april's birthday/food party, which we have yet to work out the logistics for at this point; but i am thinking up of recipes already! (we never made the souffle, did we? and of course we have to have the cheesecake. with candles this time! i also want to feed you guys some experimental pasta recipes that i've been thinking of ㅋㅋ i don't think they should kill you...)

there are so many things i want to do and so many things i have to do, and they never seem to coincide...

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” - Steve Jobs

Oh woah, new layout.

I appreciate the update. Oh man, photography is an expensive hobby. Someday when I have money I want to take it up too.

DUDE I'M EXCITED TO FIGURE OUT HOUSING FOR NEXT YEAR. ZOMG.

And excited to eat your experimental food. (Not as excited as Arvind is though, at the sound of any type of edible.)
